HOME & AWAY / When in Aarhus

Aarhus is cute and very genuine! Its university is very popular and there is absolutely nothing high end about this city even though the Royal family has a castle there that they often stay at. I love strolling the streets here and enjoy the inhabitants’ true friendliness.

You'll want to experience Aros art museum for sure. From far away you see Olafur Eliasson’s Rainbow Panorama that garnishes the top of the beautiful building. Inside BIG and small impressions awaits you too.

Lunch and dinner is a memorable experience at Kähler Spisesalon and Langhoff & Juul.

Sit and enjoy your coffee break anytime at Great Coffee and Sigfreds Kaffebar. The people working here are amazingly enthusiastic about their work and WILL share their passion with you!

In Aarhus you will be tempted to buy stuff non stop, so I recommend that you check out these places for design objects before your budget is spent; Designer Zoo, DecorateShop and Kähler's flagship store.

If you decide to spend the night in Aarhus I recommend Hotel Royal for a diva experience or Guldsmeden for a truly relaxing and organic time.
And there is lots for kids to do in Aarhus too.
For clothes shopping I never miss Norr or Bahne in Bruuns Galleri. But really the Latin Quarter is where you’ll want to prioritise spending the most of your time when in Aarhus.
I never leave Aarhus without souvenirs from these shops: Summerbird and Perch’s.
